Princeton Borough, Township Police Blotter: Local Massage Therapist Charged with Sexual Assault of Minor

A massage therapist was charged  last month with four counts of criminal sexual contact against a 16-year-old female victim, crimes of the fourth degree, police announced today. He posted $10,000 bail and was released, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Police just  released the Feb. 16 charges today because of the nature of the ongoing investigation, police said. The arrest was the culmination of an investigation stemming from an alleged incident that occurred in Princeton Borough on Feb. 11, police said.  The Princeton Borough Police Department, in conjunction with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, is continuing to conduct the investigation into the matter.

Just after 7 p.m. on March 20, Princeton Township Police patrols were dispatched to the area of State Road and Hilltop Drive to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arriving in the area, police located and stopped the vehicle on Woodland Drive near Hilltop Drive. During the stop it was discovered that one of the occupants of the vehicle, William Acevedo of Hamilton, had an active warrant for his arrest from Ewing Twp. Municipal Court in the amount of $114.00. Acevedo was processed and released after he posted bail.

Township Officer Christopher Best stopped a white Buick Regal for speeding just after 2:30 a.m. on March 18 and detected the smell f alcohol inside the car when speaking with the driver, police said. Aloysius Molley of Secane, Penn. was arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to police headquarters. He was charged with speeding, driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated within 1,000 feet of a school zone, and reckless driving. He was later released to the custody of a friend.

On March 16, just after 10:30 a.m., Township patrols responded to 200 block of Witherspoon Street to investigate a report
of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.  Piers Duffel was driving northbound on Witherspoon Street just north of Henry Avenue when pedestrian Umberto Perna apparently entered the northbound lane of travel on foot and was subsequently struck by Duffel’s vehicle. As a result, Perna received minor injuries to his arm. The incident in currently under
investigation, and no charges have been filed.

On March 15 just before 1 a.m., Township patrols were dispatched to the 300 block of Quaker Road to investigate a report of a
one car motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle struck a utility pole, police said. The at-scene police investigation determined that the driver of the vehicle, Camillia L. Thomas of Mercerville, had allegedly been operating her vehicle after consuming alcohol. Thomas was taken to University Medical Center at Princeton by the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad for treatment of her injuries suffered in the crash. As a result of the investigation, Thomas was issued motor vehicle tickets for driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated within 1,000 feet of a school zone, reckless driving, careless driving and failure to wear a seat belt.
