Princeton to Celebrate National Night Out Tuesday

Kids can climb a rock wall, dunk police officers in a water tank, play games, and more tomorrow night at Princeton’s annual Community Night Out.

The celebration is part of National Night Out, a crime and drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. For the past 29 years, towns across the country have participated in the event that is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, encourage participation in local anti-crime programs, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

It’s a fun and free family event that includes hot dogs and other refreshments. Police, fire and first aid equipment will be on display, and several local business and community groups will be at the event.

Community Night Out will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Community Park Pool. Kids can swim in the Community Park Pool for free.
