Fire Damages Garage in Plainsboro

A three-car detached garage at a house on Plainsboro Road caught on fire early this afternoon, Plainsboro Police said. No one was injured in the fire, police said.

Just before 1:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the home. When they arrived they found the garage engulfed in flames and smoke.

The garage was heavily damaged, along with its contents, which included a 1991 Jeep Wrangler, a lawn mower, furniture, tools and other items. A neighboring resident’s vinyl fence was damaged due to the heat from the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and currently under investigation by the Plainsboro Fire Marshal and Plainsboro Police Detective Bureau.
