Police Arrest Two in Stun Gun Robbery in Downtown Princeton

Just before 10 p.m Sunday night, two people were walking on William Street near Charlton Street when they were approached by several black males in their later teens and early 20s who threatened them with a stun gun and then took the cash, credit cards and cell phones, police said.

During the robbery, one of the victims suffered a head injury after being forced to the ground, police said. She was treated at the scene by the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad and refused further medical attention.

Police in the area located two individuals matching descriptions given by the victims and were able to determine that the pair was involved.  Antonio Lewis, 19, of Trenton and Manuel Alicea, 19, of Ewing were charged with  robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. The two were placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, where they are being held pending the setting of bail by a Mercer County Superior Court Judge.
