Road Closures for the Princeton Half Marathon on Nov. 3

princetonhalflogoOn Sunday, Nov. 3, multiple roadways in Princeton will be closed to accommodate the Princeton Half Marathon.

The following roadways will be closed at the specified times, Princeton Police say:

Pre-Race Closures

– No overnight parking will be permitted in the central business district or along the race route roadways from Nov. 2 to Nov. 3. “Emergency No Parking” signs will be posted in the race staging areas overnight prior to the race.

– Paul Robeson Place at Chambers Street closed starting at approximately 4:30 a.m.

– Witherspoon between Hulfish and Paul Robeso, and Paul Robeson between Witherspoon and Chambers closes starting at 6 a.m.

Race Route Closures (All streets and intersections along the race route will be closed to all traffic beginning at approximately 7:30 a.m. When possible, police officers posted at intersections will allow traffic to cross the race route. The race is expected to end before 11 a.m.

– Paul Robeson across Route 206 to Hodge Road.

– South on Library Place to Mercer Street.

– Mercer Street west to Battle Park, enter Battle Park and exit on Olden Lane.

– Olden Lane to Battle Road, then Springdale Road, then  and on to West Drive.

– West Drive to north on Alexander Street, then east onto Faculty Road and north onto Washington Road, then cross Nassau Street  on to Vandeventer Ave.

– Vandeventer Avenue to east on Wiggins Street./Hamilton Avenue, then north onto Walnut Lane, and then East onto Franklin Avenue.

– Franklin Avenue to south on Linden Lane, then east onto Hamilton Avenue, across Snowden Lane on to Rollingmead.

– Rollingmead to Deer Path, north on Clover, then to Overbrook Drive to Snowden Lane.

– Snowden Lane north to Herrontown Road, then west to Bunn Drive and to Poor Farm Road. Poor Farm to Mount Lucas, heading south.

– Mount Lucas Road to Jefferson Road, then Jefferson to Wiggins, west on Wiggins crossing Witherspoon to the finish at Paul Robeson near Chambers.
All race festivities will be held at the Victory Village on Hinds Plaza. A medals ceremony takes place at 10:30 a.m.
