Princeton Storm Update: Closings and Cancellations

Transit

NJ Transit will operate on an an enhanced weekend schedule Wed., Jan. 22, except for the Atlantic City Line. NJ Transit will also offer systemwide cross-honoring Wednesday.

Municipalities

All state offices closed. Two-hour delayed opening for Mercer County offices.

All Princeton municipal buildings closed at 3 p.m., and will reopen at 11 a.m. on Wednesday Jan. 22.
All West Windsor Township offices closed at 3 p.m. and are slated to open at 11 a.m. Jan. 22.
Montgomery Township municipal offices closed at 2:30 p.m. and will have a delayed opening time on Jan. 22 of 10 a.m.
Lawrence Township offices will open at 10:30 a.m.
South Brunswick offices will remain closed.

The following government meetings have been canceled for tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 21:

The Princeton Board of Health
The Lawrence Council
The West Windsor Council

All Corner House events after 5 p.m. today.

The following government meetings have been canceled for tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 22:

The Princeton Shade Tree Commission

All overnight on-street parking in Princeton will be prohibited Jan. 21st and Jan. 22nd for snow removal. Police are asking residents to refrain from plowing or shoveling snow into the roadways because it creates unsafe traffic conditions and inhibits snow removal efforts. The Princeton Department of Public Works will not be picking up discarded Christmas trees until further notice.

School Closings

East Windsor, Ewing, Hamilton, Hopewell, Lawrence, Montgomery, Princeton, Robbinsville, South Brunswick, Trenton, West Windsor.

Princeton Charter School closed. Princeton Junior School is closed. Princeton Friends closed.

Hillsborough schools announced 2 hour delay for Wed. but will decide between 7:15-7:45am tomorrow if it will instead be no school instead of delay.

The Waldorf School, Chapin School, The Hun School, The Pennington School, Princeton Day School, Cambridge School, Foundation Academies, Cherry Hill Nursery, St. Paul’s Catholic School in Princeton.

Princeton University and the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab will resume normal operations at 10 a.m. Wed. Exams will continue as scheduled and employees in critical roles are to report to work as scheduled Tues. night and Wed. a.m.

All a.m. and afternoon classes at Mercer County community College cancelled for Wednesday.

Other Closings (Businesses, Doctors, Community Events, Recreation, etc.)

The Princeton Public Library will open at 11.

CHADD Mercer County closed.

All evening classes at the Princeton Center for Yoga and Health have been cancelled. Wednesday a.m. classes also cancelled.

Princeton Dental Group has a delayed opening Wednesday until 10 a.m.

The Princeton Family YMCA will be opening its facility tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22nd at 11 am.

The Childhood Development Center (CDC) and all YMCA afterschool programs, including PYA, are cancelled for Wednesday.
