Winners Jam Jazz Performance – Winners of the Greater Princeton Steinway Society’s Jazz Piano Scholarship Competition will perform and receive their awards. A professional bassist and drummer will play with each student. Part of the Crescendo: Musicians on the Rise series. Princeton Public Library Community Room, 7 p.m., free.

Opera MODO presents “The Abduction from the Seraglio” – Opera MODO ends the season with something light and fun with a modern twist: “The Abduction from the Seraglio” tells of a fair damsel who finds herself in great distress. Will the dashing nobleman rescue her from her Turkish keepers and the powerful ruler who desires to possess her? Or will the lovers die in the attempt? Mozart’s incomparable skill for vocal melody and dramatic tension are on full display in this production. Arts Council of Princeton, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets $25, $15 for students.

Princeton United Methodist Church Flea Market – Spring flea market includes food, flowers, and other bargains. Proceeds go to area charities. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., corner of Nassau Street and Vandeventer Avenue in downtown Princeton.

Princeton and Pettoranello Sister City Foundation Mother’s Day Flower and Plant Sale – Mother’s Day Flower and Plant Sale benefits the Princeton and Pettoranello Sister City Foundation, Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad Flea Market – More than 30 vendors with small appliances, kitchen stuff, toys, furniture, books, clothes, and more. Refreshments too. Rain or shine. Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad, 237 North Harrison Street, Princeton, 9 a.m. to noon.

Community Conversation with Sustainable Lawrence – Discuss future steps to make Lawrence a more environmentally sustainable place to work and live. Cavalla Room, Rider University, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. $10 fee includes breakfast and lunch. Register on site.

Spring Wine Festival at Unionville Vineyards – Wine tasting, winery tours, and vineyard walks with the winemaking team. Activities for kids, including a bounce house, a “sommelier training wheels” aroma and scent workshop for kids with Fran McManus, flowerpot painting for Mother’s Day, and vineyard walks with the winemaker. Food vendors and craft vendors. Bring chairs or a blanket, enjoy 90 acres of sprawling New Jersey farmland. Tickets include a wine tasting flight and Unionville logo wine glass, and access to all features. Food vendor items are additional, noon to 6 p.m. General Admission $20, youth 13-20 years old and designated drivers $10, 12 & under free.

Mother Nature Festival at the Lawrence Nature Center – Guided nature hikes, wildlife show by the Philadelphia Zoo, and music by Eli the Hawk. Princeton Shopping Center Spring Fling – Join The Princeton Shopping Center and the Arts Council of Princeton to celebrate spring for an afternoon of art and music. This spring-themed, family-friendly event will feature live music, bird puppets, paper collages, and creating flowers from recycled materials. Festivities will take place in the center of the Princeton Shopping Center Courtyard near the Arts Council’s pop-up studio from 1 to 3 p.m., free.

Paint Out Princeton Closing Reception – Join the Arts Council of Princeton and Morven in celebrating the artists who participated in the Paint Out at Communiversity Festival of the Arts and the Paint Out at Morven Museum & Garden. 3 to 5 p.m. at the Arts Council, free.

Fred Miller: Lecture in Song – With Mother’s Day in mind, the Princeton Public Library welcomes back pianist, singer and library favorite Fred Miller who will present “Great Dames,” a musical lecture that draws entirely upon the fabled female characters who have populated American song from the start. 3 p.m., Princeton Public Library Community Room, free.
