Donors Sought for 5th Annual Princeton Book Bag and School Supplies Drive

backpacksThe Princeton Human Services Department is seeking donors for its 5th annual book bag and school supplies drive that benefits needy children in the Princeton community.

For the past five years, Princeton Human Services, town employees, local businesses, organizations and residents have donated book bags and school supplies. The items are distributed to children from low-income families who attend the Princeton Public Schools and are entering kindergarten through sixth grade.

You can drop off donations at the Princeton Human Services office weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office is located in the former borough hall at One Monument Drive. The deadline to participate is Aug. 15.

Items that can be donated include book bags, lunch bags, pencils, pens, notebooks, crayons, loose leaf paper, binders, markers, kid-safe scissors, glue sticks, and other school supplies.

Hundreds of applications have been distributed to families with children entering kindergarten through sixth grade. If you have questions, call (609) 688-2055.
