Winter Storm Expected This Weekend

A Nor’easter is expected to impact the Central Jersey region starting Saturday night, March 19, and ending on Sunday night. The storm could bring anywhere from one to six inches of snow to the area.

Precipitation is expected to begin Saturday night. Snow is likely across eastern Pennsylvania and central and northern New Jersey. In southern New Jersey, precipitation may begin as snow, but will likely changeover to rain on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly.

Total snowfall amounts along and northwest of Interstate 95 could be up to three to six inches, while the southern part of the state is expected to receive about an inch of snow.

The snow will likely be heavy and wet, sticking to trees and power lines. There is still uncertainty about where the heaviest snowfall
will occurs. As of Friday at noon, the area just north of I-95 is predicted to receive the highest amount of snow, but the storm could shift to the south.

We will update this post with more information later in the day.
