Low-Level Platforming at Hamilton and Princeton Junction Train Stations This Weekend

Westbound extended high-level platforms are being installed at Princeton Junction and Hamilton stations. Trains will be using low-level platforms at the two stations beginning 6 a.m. Saturday, June 11 and continuing through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 12.

Expect longer station stops and minor delays this weekend because of the use of the low-level platforms.

These platforms are a major inconvenience for people who require elevator service, for example people in wheelchairs. NJ Transit recommends that customers requiring elevator service travel from the Trenton Transit Center or New Brunswick stations.  Otherwise, Princeton Junction and Hamilton customers who need elevators must use one of the following methods to get where they need to go:

Hamilton

Traveling to Hamilton Station from points east (e.g. Newark/New York):  Travel on an outbound train to Trenton and then transfer to an inbound train to Hamilton Station.

Traveling from Hamilton Station to points west (e.g. Trenton):  Take an inbound train to New Brunswick Station and then transfer to an outbound train to the destination.

Princeton Junction

Traveling to Princeton Junction from points east (e.g. Newark/New York): travel on an outbound train to Trenton and then transfer to an inbound train to Princeton Junction.

Traveling from Princeton Junction to points west (e.g. Trenton): Take an inbound train to New Brunswick Station and then transfer to an outbound train to the destination.
