Buses Will Replace Dinky Trains Weekends Until Feb. 6

Your weekend train trip to New York, Philadelphia, or Washington D.C. from downtown Princeton will be even longer the next three weekends. Buses will replace Dinky shuttle trains between Princeton and Princeton Junction while work is done on Amtrak’s high speed rail project, transit officials said.

Buses will replace the Dinky shuttle Jan. 20-23, Jan. 27-30 and Feb. 3-6, beginning at 9:15 p.m. on Fridays and ending at 4 a.m. on Mondays.

All buses will leave from locations near the rail platform and will take about 10 to 15 minutes to travel between Princeton and Princeton Junction stations.

Buses departing from the Princeton Station traveling to Princeton Junction will leave up to 15 minutes earlier than usual to maintain connections at Princeton Junction. Buses departing from Princeton Junction traveling to Princeton may leave several minutes late. Buses will meet all scheduled train connections at Princeton Junction, according to NJ Transit officials.
