ICE raids two homes in downtown Princeton

Federal Immigration Customs Enforcement officers raided two homes in downtown Princeton this morning and arrested three men, officials confirmed to Planet Princeton. Federal criminal warrants had been issued for all three men.

The raids took place on the 100 block of Witherspoon Street and the 200 block of John Street.

A Princeton Human Services Department employee is following up to see if the men had spouses and children in Princeton. It appears all three are single and do not have children.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.

  1. Princeton: The hub of our illegal immigration “crisis”. Who knew?

(Instead of banging down doors in hamlets like Princeton, why doesn’t ICE call up the national guard and instead focus on areas like Miami-Dade, where 30% or more of the population is likely “undocumented”? Or, simply go after people who overstay temporary visas? Or wait inside Emergency Rooms (because it’s cold outside!) and take into custody undocumented aliens who benefit from FREE healthcare that they will NEVER be able to pay for …)

  2. apparently several people attempted to video the activity and they were told in no uncertain terms to erase the recordings. Does anyone know the law there? Can one record? Can they be forced to erase the recording?

    1. One can record police and government activity in public places or in places where you are authorized to be (like a friend’s house). One can’t interfere with that activity, but just recording it as long as you are not in the way is constitutionally protected.
