Princeton High School Studio Band concert project will support students from Puerto Rico

The Princeton High School band program, with support from the high school band parents’ association, will sponsor and host the six students, a music director and a chaperone from Puerto Rico this coming February.

Students from the Escuela Libre de Musica Ernesto Ramos Antonini in Puerto Rico will travel with the Princeton Studio Band and Jazz Ensemble to compete at  the Berklee Jazz Festival competition.

The students from Puerto Rico will share their stories with Princeton High students via video and pictures, and work on musical projects together. The project has three goals: To give the students from Puerto Rico the Berklee Jazz Festival experience they were planning to have before Hurricane Maria hit; to send each student and chaperone home with two additional suitcases full of supplies for their families; and to send additional supplies to Puerto Rico from funds collected and items donated.

Supplies needed:

Medical Supplies – bandages, gauze, medical tape, gloves, sterile pads, first aid kits
Schools Supplies – notebooks, pens, pencils, paper, crayons, colored pencils, rulers, erasers, etc.
New Underwear – Wrapped in original packaging
New Children and  Adult Pajamas – Wrapped in original packaging
