Alexander Road Slated to Reopen This Weekend

Getting in and out of Princeton will soon become just a little bit easier when one lane of Alexander Road is reopened.

Princeton Township Enginerr Bob Kiser said last night that one lane of the road is slated to be reopened for alternating as early as this Friday, or over the weekend. Partial lane closures will then be in place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. until the end of the project.

Construction on Alexander Road is expected to be completed by the end of July, Kiser said.

A portion of Alexander in West Windsor has been closed since late May to regrade the s-curve on the road. The closure has caused traffic to back up along Route 1 at rush hour, meaning long delays for commuters. We can only wonder what will happen when the state DOT blocks off the jughandles at Washington Road and Harrison Street this fall.
