Letter to the Editor: Moore Dedicated to Community’s Values
Dear Editor:
I am supporting Yina Moore for Borough Mayor because through her years of service as a volunteer, including eleven years on the Princeton Regional Planning Board, she has demonstrated her commitment to values that I think are important to this community.
These values include a respect for government’s role in ensuring equitable treatment for all citizens, promoting conservation and historic preservation, regulating land use in the public interest, and developing a human environment which celebrates diversity and inspires the best in all of us.
Our shared values are part of what binds us together as a single community with or without the constriction of municipal boundaries; and, in today’s political climate, they make a mayor’s role as advocate for the community especially important.
Yina has stellar credentials, a high-powered educational and professional background and deep roots in the Princeton Community that make her ideally suited to advocate for us at every level of government.
