A resident reported seeing a man staggering along Mercer Street and Library Place Nov. 4. Police went to the area and determined that the man was under the influence of a narcotic. He was in possession of packaging material used to package heroin. Ryan Tiedemann, a 26-year-old Dayton resident, was charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. His court date is Nov. 14.

Police stopped a man for operating a car without headlights on just after 2 a.m. Nov. 5 on Nassau Street. Patroba Michiela, Jr., 24, of Plainsboro, was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to submit to a breathalyzer test.

A man who was arguing with bystanders on Bank Street  just after 9:30 pm. on Nov. 5 refused to submit to a breathalyzer test. Police said Benjamin Arfa, 33, of Montgomery Township allegedly drove to Bank Street while intoxicated and began fighting with several people. Arfa was charged with disorderly conduct and refusal to submit to a breath test. His court date is Nov. 14.

Police approached a man sleeping on a park bench in Tiger Park just after 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 6 to conduct a well being check. The man gave them a false name. Police determined that the man was Devon Square, a 42-year-old Ewing resident who was wanted for active warrants in several towns, including Hamilton, Lawrence, and Bucks County, Pa. Square was charged with contempt and hindering apprehension and was turned over to the Hamilton Police Department.
