Small World Coffee’s Love Show Opening and Fundraiser for NOFA-NJ Tonight

For Small World Coffee, February is all about spreading the love for a favorite non-profit organization by spreading the word, along with some dollars.

Small World raises money for an area non-profit through its annual art show, dubbed “The Love Show”, in which 40 local artists express their hearts through art on the cafe’s walls with pieces that reflect on their relationship with the word “love”.

The cafe will kick off the festivities tonight with an opening party to celebrate the artists and raise money for the non-profit of choice.

For the third annual Love Show, Small World is supporting the Northeast Organic Farmer’s Association of New Jersey (NOFA-NJ).  NOFA-NJ is dedicated to supporting sustainable food and agriculture in New Jersey.

The opening celebration runs from  8-11 p.m. tonight at the coffee shop on Witherspoon Street. The event is open to the public, and participants are invited to make a suggested donation of $20 to NOFA-NJ. Gifts have been donated by elements, the Terramomo Restaurant Group, The Whole Earth Center, the bent spoon, Cherry Grove Farm and Small World Coffee for donations over $100.

Music to groove to as the night evolves into a DJ dance party will be provided by Motorfunker DJs from WPRB and DJ AGGReshen. Olives and the bent spoon have also donated food for the celebration.

You can also wear your love for Small World and NOFA-NJ on your sleeve this month by buying a Small World Love Show t-shirt. All the proceeds will be donated to NOFA.

In 2011, Small World raised money for the D&R Greenway Land Trust. In 2010, the Arts Council of Princeton was the beneficiary.
