A Princeton business owner reported this Tuesday that sometime between the last week of May and July 3rd, someone removed a bag from his business that contained pieces of jewelry worth $50,000. The unnamed business is located in the 300 block of Witherspoon Street. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
Two cars collided in the parking area near McCaffrey’s Tuesday at about 1 p.m. A Nissan driven by Gina Hall, 50, of Scottsdale, Arizona and a Chrysler driven by Princeton resident Palne Korosi collided, and the Nissan had to be towed from the scene. Korosi was issued summonses for careless driving and being an unlicensed driver, police said.
Another car accident happened in a parking lot at the Princeton Shopping Center just a day earlier. Around noon Monday, a Chrysler driven by Elizabeth Rieur, 81, of Belle Mead struck a Saturn driven by Pamela Hoffman, 68, of Trenton. The Chrysler entered the lane from a parking area. Both vehicles were towed from the scene as a result of the damage from the crash. Rieur was issued a summons for careless driving, police said.
