West Windsor Girl Struck by Car After Exiting School Bus

A car struck a 14-year-old girl who had just gotten off the school bus Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Southfield Road and Stone Wall Drive in West Windsor. The girl suffered head and leg injuries as a result of the accident.

A 2009 Honda, driven by Rui Liao, 37, of West Windsor, was traveling north on Southfield Road just after 4:30 p.m. when the student exited the school bus and crossed Southfield Road. The Honda struck the student as she crossed the road. She was taken to Capital Health at Fuld for treatment. Portions of the roadway remained closed until 7:10 p.m. for the police investigation and road clean up.

The collision is being investigated by the West Windsor Township Police Department and the Mercer County Prosecutors Office. Any witnesses are asked to call Patrolman Mohr at 609-799-1222.
