Princeton Police Blotter: Two Princeton Teens Charged in Home Burglary

Two teens allegedly stole $1,000 from a home on the 400 block of Mt. Lucas Road lat week, police said.

On Jan. 20 the homeowner reported that $1,000 was missing from the home. A police investigation revealed that a female teen at the home had a 17-year-old male teen stay over. The homeowner suspected the teen guest had committed the theft.

On Jan. 27, residents from the same home called the police and reported that two males had entered their home through an open door and proceeded to the second floor. When confronted by the homeowner and her daughter, the two males fled the scene on foot.

Forensic evidence recovered by officers and detectives at the scene implicated the same 17-year-old teen who had stayed over at the home, and a second teen, 18-year-old Kenneth Nwachukwu.  Both teens were taken into custody on Jan. 29 and charged with theft. The juvenile was released to his parent while Nwachukwu was remanded to the Mercer County Detention Center on $25,000 bail.
