Princeton Police Blotter: Failed Break-In on Nassau Street

A Nissan Maxima driven by Antonea Kouassi was backing out of a parking stall in front of the Wawa on University Place at about 11:45 a.m. Thursday when it was struck by a Honda Pilot driven by Constance Sullivan of West Windsor. As a result of the crash, a 70-year-old passenger in the Nissan complained of chest pain, and a 14-year-old passenger in the Honda complained of head pain. The passenger from the Nissan was transported to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for treatment. Kouassi, 43, of Somerset, was issued a summons for careless driving.

An employee in an office located in the first block of State Road contacted police Wednesday night to report that during business hours on March 19, her Dell laptop computer was stolen from her office desk. The computer is valued at $900.

The manager of a business in the 300 block of Nassau Street called police at 7 a.m. on March 18  to report that between the close of business on March 17 and the employee’s arrival on March 18, and unknown person or persons attempted to break into the business by forcing open the rear door. The burglars were unable to gain access to the store.
