Screening of “Oranges and Sunshine” – Emily Watson stars as Margaret Humphreys, a social worker who uncovered the mass deportation of children from the United Kingdom to Australia and, against overwhelming odds, reunited thousands of families and drew worldwide attention to an extraordinary miscarriage of justice. The film is based on Humphreys’ book “Empty Cradles.” Princeton Public Library, Community Room, 7 p.m., free.

Canal Watch 5K Fun Run – Run along the Delaware River and support the D&R Canal Watch. Run begins at the Washington Crossing Park Visitors’ Center. Starts at 10 a.m. Race day registration on site is $20.

Nano Day at the Princeton Public Library – Explore presentations about the miniscule world of atoms, molecules and the nanoscale during the event that also includes hands-on activities. Princeton Public Library Community Room, Noon to 4 p.m., free.

Terhune Orchards Bunny Chase Treasure Hunt for Kids – Follow the treasure hunt clues, find the bunny at the end and earn a surprise treat!  Perfect for children ages 2-8.  Each child can make a bunny to take home. 1-5 p.m. Free.

Terrific Turtles – Learn about New Jersey’s native turtles at the Plainsboro Nature Preserve. meet several species of turtles at the nature center before hiking out on the preserve to search for turtles emerging from their long winter nap. 80 Scotts Corner Road, 3:30-5 p.m., $3 for members, $5 for nonmembers.
