Woman Assaulted on Paul Robeson Place in Princeton

PaulroebsonmapA woman was assaulted on Paul Robeson Place near Bayard Lane just after midnight.

The victim told police that as she was walking on Paul Robeson Place next to the YWCA, an unknown male approached her from behind and grabbed her around the neck. The suspect threw her to the ground and the suspect also went down on the ground and continued to try to attack her. The victim said she screamed, punched and kicked and ultimately was able to escape and flee the area when a vehicle approached.  The victim said she was not injured.

The suspect fled on foot.  The victim described him Asian or Hispanic with light skin and a square-shaped face. He is approximately 5’10” with a stocky build. She reported he was wearing a “black graphic t-shirt with a rectangle of some sort” pulled up over his head.
