Princeton School Board Approves Raises for Administrators

phsThe Princeton Public Schools Board of Education voted Tuesday night to approve a raise for principals and supervisors for the 2014-15 calendar year. The board approved a 2.4 percent raise and a $100 increase in longevity pay for those administrators who are currently receiving longevity pay. The agreement was unanimously approved by the board. Board member Molly Chrein was absent.

Tuesday night marked the last board meeting for Superintendent of Schools Judith Wilson, who ends her nine-year tenure in the district this month. Wilson was honored at an event at the John Witherspoon School yesterday afternoon, and again at the board meeting, where a special video thanking her for her service was shown. The board also said goodbye to board member Anne Burns. Burns was appointed last May to fill the unexpired term of Dorothy Bedford. New school board member Tom Hagedorn will be sworn in next month.

  1. Well…as a taxpayer, I must say I have not received a cost of living raise in nearly ten years. In fact, my income has decreased, and I believe this is fairly common. While taxes continue to rise, this move seems arrogant and I will once again be voting against the current board members.
