2014 Princeton Deer Culling Program Begins Feb. 15

whitebuffalodeerThe town of Princeton has contracted with White Buffalo, Inc., to decrease the deer population again this year.

White Buffalo hunters will be on private properties and on one or more of the
following public properties starting on or about Feb. 15, 2014 and ending on or before March 31:

– Gulick Farm
– Mercer County Herrontown Woods Arboretum
– Pretty Brook/Great Road
– Rosedale – Green Acres
– Historic Overlook and Stony Brook/Quaker Road (Block 9801, Lots 4, 9, and 10 approximately 38 acres located between Mercer Street and Route 206)
– Mountain Lakes Reserve (Portions of Block 5201, Lots 2 and 29.14 only)
– Van Dyke Woods/Smoyer Park

Shooting will take place on town-owned properties that are open to the public after the parks close at dusk, and will be completed before they reopen each day.

The Princeton Police Department will supervise the deer = removal activities and patrolling the parks while removal operations take place.
