Thursday Afternoon Storm Update from Princeton Administrator

From Princeton Administrator Robert Bruschi:

The emergency team of the town met this afternoon to assess the current impacts of the storm.  This storm is expected to begin producing snow again over night.  Crews will continue to work around the clock to try to have streets clear for the morning.  The state of emergency remains in effect please adhere to this declaration as vehicle out traveling impact the state, county and local snow and ice clearing efforts.  In addition individuals are also reminded to remove vehicles from the streets.

There were two power outages in town both of which have been resolved by PSE&G. At this time we have no reported power outages.  This could change with the additional chance of higher winds and snow this evening.  If you experience an outage you are asked to contact PSE&G at 1-800-436-PSEG.  If you see a wire down on your street please report that to the Police Department at 609-921-2100 and push 0.  Provide the location and a cross street if possible.

If residents do need a warming center or an area to recharge personal electronic items the Municipal Office building at 400 Witherspoon Street is open 24 hours a day.  Please enter through the Police Department door on the Valley Road side of the building.

In addition residents are advised that trash collection for Today, Thursday, has been postponed and is now scheduled for Friday.  Please check back on the website for further updates.  Periodic updates will be posted throughout the storm the website is:  WWW.Princetonnj.gov
