Winter Storm Watch in Effect March 2-3 for Princeton Region

MArch2The National Weather Service has issues a winter storm watch, which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon for Central New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Between eight and ten inches of snow and a trace of ice are predicted to fall in the Princeton area between Sunday and Monday afternoon.

A mix of snow and sleet will begin Sunday afternoon and change to all snow by Sunday evening. The snow will end Monday afternoon.

Wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour are expected. Temperatures will be in the 20s Sunday night and fall to the upper teens by Monday morning. Near record cold is possible Monday night as temperatures drop between five below and five above zero.

New Jersey Transit will offer systemwide cross-honoring Monday due to the storm.
