The UPS store in downtown Princeton is slated to reopen at its new location next to CVS on Nassau Street this Thursday, May 1.

For the last 20 years, the UPS store has been located at the corner of Hulfish Street and Witherspoon Street.

The new UPS store will be located at 174 Nassau Street, the former home of Princeton Wine and Liquor. The UPS store has five dedicated parking spaces for customers at its new location. The spaces are located in the parking lot behind the building.

The liquor store that was at the location for 16 years was forced out of business because the landlord, the First Church of Christ, Scientist, did not want the liquor store there.

As for the Hulfish space currently occupied by UPS, the owners of neighboring restaurant Mistral plan to move their other restaurant, elements, to the second floor of the Hulfish building and add a bar to the first floor. Elements, which opened in 2008, currently is located on Bayard Lane. Businessman Stephen Distler and chef Scott Anderson co-own both restaurants. Moving elements would allow them to consolidate their operations downtown. Mistral, which opened last May and does not have a liquor license, could also share the liquor license elements already owns.

The owners of elements and Mistral plan to add a bar to the building in the space currently used by UPS.
