Princeton Police this afternoon charged a Philadelphia man with one count of second-degree robbery and one count of third-degree theft for allegedly stealing a $46,000 Rolex Sky-Dweller watch from Hamilton Jewelers on Oct. 5.

Taquan E. Knight, 22, was arrested for a similar robbery in Pittsburgh, Pa, last Tuesday, Oct. 7th, when he attempted to flee a jewelry store with a Rolex watch. He was stopped and detained by a store security officer until police arrived. Knight is being held at the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh on charges stemming from the theft.

Networking between police agencies in Princeton and Pittsburgh, Pa, led to Knight’s identification as the alleged thief in the Hamilton Jewelers case.

  1. Princeton seems to be solving a good number of high profile cases lately, including the bank robbery at TDBank. Nice job guys/gals!

  2. 0 for 2. Do you think they’ll give him another try for sport? They say the third time is the charm.

But seriously, Oct 7 Rolex theft attempt, and he isn’t even detained? Oh, wait, I get it! He was going to fence this Rolex to pay back the bail money on the previous attempt!

Must be tiring being this guy. Really…
