Register Now: Seventh Annual Princeton Turkey Trot to Be Held Thanksgiving Morning

TrinityTurkey-TrotYou can run, jog, or walk past Albert Einstein’s house, Princeton University, the Institute for Advanced Study and other historic spots, burn off some calories before your Thanksgiving meal, and raise money for good causes at the same time by participating in the Turkey Trot 5K, an annual tradition for many area residents.

The event is sponsored by Trinity Church in Princeton. Last year the event raised a record-breaking $32,000. The proceeds support The Crisis Ministry of Mercer County, Urban Promise Trenton, Housing Initiatives of Princeton and the Trenton Children’s Chorus.

The church also collects canned goods for the Crisis Ministry food pantry at the event.

T-Shirts will be given to people who pre-register while supplies last, and homemade pies and other prizes will be awarded to winners on race day. The event is a family-friendly run/walk/race.

The seventh annual Turkey Trot  starts at 8:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning at Trinity Church, which is located at 33 Mercer Street in downtown Princeton.

You can register online at trinityturkeytrot.org.  Registration is $25 until Nov. 1., and $30 until Nov. 21. Registration on site Thanksgiving morning is $40.
