The Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders is taking one of its regularly scheduled meetings on the road this week. The board, which is chaired by Princeton resident and former councilman Andrew Koontz, will hold its public meeting Nov. 13th in Princeton.

The meeting will take place at the Princeton Municipal Complex at 400 Witherspoon Street at 6 p.m. Local officials and members of the public are invited to attend the meeting. The meeting will include a public comment session.

In an effort to increase public awareness and participation in county government, the Mercer County Freeholders have made it a practice in recent years to hold meetings in area municipalities.

“Taking our meetings on the road gives citizens greater access to county government, and it gives the board a chance to get closer to the community,” Koontz said.

In addition to the regular business of the board,  Gary De Blasio, the executive director of Corner House, will talk about the non-profit’s
drug court treatment program for adults. The program provides substance abuse treatment services to drug court clients through the New Jersey Department of Human Services.
