Third Annual Princeton Half Marathon to Be Held Oct. 4

The first runners cross the start line at 7:30 a.m.

The Princeton Council voted unanimously Monday night to approve the request of the non-profit group HiTOPS to hold the third annual Princeton Half Marathon on Oct. 4.

For the past two years the half marathon has been held the first Sunday in November. Another event is taking place on Nov. 1, so HiTOPS had to select another date. Organizers said the new date is good though, because it does not conflict with the New York City Marathon and will be a little warmer. Princeton University is also in session, so more students are likely to participate.

The course will be the same route again this year. Registration will open soon. Planet Princeton will post an update when registration is open.
