As of 7:30 a.m., Princeton area roads are covered with a thin sheet of black ice. Readers who ventured out reported that the driving conditions are treacherous. Readers report that there have been several small accidents in the area because the roads are so slippery. Sidewalks and driveways are also slippery and several people have fallen.

Stay home this morning, Sunday, Jan. 18, if you can. West Windsor Police report that the roads could be slippery for the next few hours and are urging everyone to stay in until the weather warms up. Temperatures are supposed to reach the mid 40s later in the day.

There is no ice skating on Lake Carnegie, the Community Park North pond, or the Smoyer Park pond today due to the rising temperatures.
