A gun threat against President Obama’s niece, Princeton University freshman Leslie Robinson, before the Women’s Basketball NCAA round two game on Monday was a false alarm, police said.

A caller claimed a man she knew was armed with a handgun and was walking around the University of Maryland’s campus ahead of Monday night’s game,USA Today reported, citing a source.

The caller detailed the threat in a voice mail left on an athletic department phone at the College Park, Md., school, the source said.

University of Maryland Police said late Monday night that an investigation showed that the threat was bogus.

“Our investigation reveals at this time that these details that were passed on from this third party are unsubstantiated,” university police Maj. Marc Limansky said in a statement.
