Princeton School Board Reaches Tentative Agreements with Administrator, Support Staff Unions

princeton public schoolsThe Board of Education for the Princeton Public Schools has reached tentative agreements for new contracts with two of its employee unions, the Princeton Administrators Association and the Princeton Regional Education Support Staff Association.

Both tentative agreements are subject to ratification by each union’s respective membership, as well as full board approval.

School board representatives declined to provide any details about salary increases or the time periods the new contracts cover. School board representatives said the board will provide details about the terms of the contract after ratification by the unions’ members.

The last contract with administrators was for 2014-15. The last contract with support staff was for 2012 to 2015.

Teachers have been working without a new contract since last July. Teachers’ union representatives recently called on the contract negotiations to be referred to a state fact finder because the board and union could not come to an agreement regarding health insurance contributions and salaries.
