Beginning at 7:30 a.m. today, May 15, Snowden Lane will be closed between Herrontown Road and Vandyke Road for paving.

There will be heavy traffic on Route 206 in Lawrence today for Rider University’s graduation ceremonies. Avoid the area.

New Village Road will be milled and resurfaced at Edinburg Road on Saturday, May 16th, weather permitting.   Lucas Brothers will be milling and resurfacing New Village Road on the west side of the intersection only.  During this one day project there will be lane closures, and any detour required will be posted at the work site, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The Alexander Road resurfacing project will begin Monday, May 18. The road will be resurfaced between Vaughn Drive and Roszel Road by the Earle Asphalt Company. The project is limited to the two westbound lanes, from Vaughn Drive towards US Route 1, and the center turn lane. Work will begin with necessary curb and sidewalk replacements and regrading of portions of the outer lane near Alexander Park to correct drainage problems.  Work will then progress into other subgrade repairs, and then pavement milling and resurfacing of all three lanes.  During the work there will be lane closures between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m..   The construction duration for this project is a maximum of 45 calendar days, weather permitting.

Bank Street will be closed to through traffic on May 18 for a Princeton Public Works utility project. A barricade will be placed at each end of the roadway. On-street parking will be prohibited between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m while work is taking place. Police say people who park in the two private parking lots on the south end of Bank Street endeavor to minimize their trips in and out. If it becomes necessary to leave Bank Street during this work, vehicles from these lots may need to be directed in a wrong-way direction, southerly to Nassau Street, police say. Princeton Police will be posting “Emergency No Parking” signs on Sunday, May 17, which will be in effect for Monday, May 18th. If an additional day is needed to complete the test pits, the emergency signage will remain in place.

  1. Not sure how it is today–but Hamilton has been detoured (between Harrison and Snowden) for the past several days, and you can’t get to Harriet St. Not a great issue for most but worth noting.
