Princeton Police Blotter: Criminal Mischief, Thefts

princetonpolice_2A Witherspoon Street resident reported that on May 25, someone spray-painted his car’s passenger side front and rear doors with black spray paint. The cost of the damage is still unknown.

A Griggs Drive resident reported that on May 27, someone entered her apartment and stole jewelry of unknown value.

A South Harrison Street resident reported that someone entered her vehicle and stole $10 worth of coins. the afternoon of May 27.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Chambers Street on May 29, two men were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Frank Jordan, 37, of Newark and Derrick Murkey, 36, of Plainfield were arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and multiple warrants totaling $2,469. Jordan was released on his own recognizance and Murkey was turned over to the New Brunswick Police Department.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on State Road at Mountainside Avenue the evening of May 25, a Phillipsburg resident was arrested for driving while intoxicated.  John Vail II was processed at police headquarters and later released with summonses.

A man reported that on May 11 someone fraudulently withdrew a total of $1,400 from his debit account at Bank of America ATMs at 90 Nassau Street and 370 Nassau Street.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on North Harrison Street the afternoon of May 27, Princeton resident Walter Ovalle was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated. He was processed at police headquarters and later released with summonses.
