Friday, June 5

The Barncats Perform at the Princeton Public Library – Americana, pop, zydeco, country, gospel, and more. 6:30 p.m. Free.

 “Frozen” Outdoor Screening – Spread out a blanket or bring your favorite outdoor chair for the Princeton Shopping Center’s Friday night Summer Courtyard Movie Series. 8:30 p.m. Free.

Princeton Special Needs Dance and Pool BBQ – Princeton Special Sports and the Princeton Recreation Department co-sponsor monthly dances for friends with special needs ages 13 and up. Enjoy the last dance of the 2014-15 season with dancing, swimming, and a BBQ at the beautiful Princeton Community Pool.6:30 pm – 9 pm.

Saturday, June 6

Cory’s Ride – 17th annual charity ride in memory of Cory Golis, a Hopewell teen who died on the Anchor House Ride for Runaways. All proceeds support college scholarships for teens in need. Choose from 10, 20 and 50 mile scenic routes. Picnic after the ride. Tall Cedars Picnic Grove, Sawmill Road, Hamilton, NJ. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m.

Day of Smiles – Stop by Palmer Square and make a donation to Operation Smile. Princeton resident Barbara Majeski is seeking to raise $1 million in a day for the non-profit that helps children with facial deformities.

Montgomery Farmers’ Market – Montgomery’s Farmers’ Market, an outreach of the Montgomery Friends of Open Space (Friends), features locally grown, conventional and certified organic produce, meats, eggs and other farm products. It will be held Saturdays from 9am until 1pm at the Village Shopper shopping center through October 24th.

Pennington Farmers Market – Produce, breads, meat, soaps, crafts, prepared foods and more. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Rosedale Mills, 101 Route 31 North in Hopewell Township.

West Windsor Farmers’ Market – Produce, meat, flowers baked goods, soap, entertainment and more. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vaughn Drive Parking Lot, Princeton Junction Train Station.

Learn-to-Row Day – The Carnegie Lake Rowing Association is hosting its annual Learn-to-Row Day at 1 p.m. The free, introductory meeting will take place at the Princeton University Boathouse, located at the corner of Washington and Facility roads in Princeton, and will last approximately two hours. Adults of any age, as well as high school students, are eligible to attend. Experienced rowers are also welcome. No pre-registration is necessary.

Indian Dance Demonstration & Workshop – Indian Dance group Pradhanica will conduct a free demonstration and workshop as part of the Princeton Festival. If you’re new to Indian dance, this will provide you the vocabulary with which to appreciate Pradhanica’s June 27th performance. If you’re already a student of the art form, this workshop will give you a chance to study its nuances from a professional dancer. Starts at 4 pm. Updike Farmstead’s Community Day – Art and music for the whole family. Observe members of the Trenton Community A-TEAM “plein-air” painting on the beautiful six acre farmstead, and enjoy a variety of music, from folk to funk, performed by the FunkTASKtiks. In addition, supplies will be available for those inspired to create their own masterpieces. 12-4 pm. 354 Quaker Road, Princeton. All programs are included with $4 museum admission. $2 with a donation of art supplies or non-perishable food items for TASK.

Hog Weighing at the Howell Living History Farm – The Howell Farm hogs will wade out of their wallows, shuffle down a chute and step onto the scales.  The weigh-in is open to the public, which is invited to join farmers as they wash and weigh hogs, slop hogs, and of course, call hogs.  Kids can help farmers with pig chores:  mixing feed and filling wallows.  Hog weighing will take placeduring the day.  Prizes will be offered to visitors who come closest to guessing the pigs’ weights. 11 am to 3 pm. 101 Hunter Road, Titusville, New Jersey 08560. “Piano Men” Perform at Mercer County Park Festival Grounds – Piano Men: A Tribute to Elton John and Billy Joel starring Broadway’s Craig A. Meyer and Donnie Kehr, will play the Mercer County Park Festival Grounds on Saturday, June 6, with a rain date of Sunday, June 7. Craig A. Meyer and Donnie Kehr are seasoned Broadway performers, musicians and television/film actors. 7:30 p.m. Admission $10 and up.

La Fiocco Princeton Debut Baroque Concert “Love, Passion, & Magic” – La Fiocco baroque ensemble presents “Love, Passion, & Magic,” featuring virtuoso soprano Laura Heimes, with music played on period instruments, in concerts on June 6 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 214 Nassau Street in Princeton. La Fiocco, based in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is gaining national attention for its performances of music of the late Renaissance, Baroque, and early Classical eras on period instruments.$25, $10 students.

A Cappella Vocal Jazz Concert, The Princeton Festival  – Following the immensely popular debut of a cappella jazz in the Festival’s 2013 lineup, the Princeton Festival presents two groups performing a varied program of vocal jazz arrangements from the 1950’s to the 1990’s and beyond. Art In The Park Plein Air Festival At Stonebridge – For artists and observers – come spend the day: walk the beautiful Stonebridge trails and enjoy the outdoors while observing local artists capture the scenery from 1-4pm. Enjoy wine and cheese in the lovely main lobby of Stonebridge from 4-5pm and participate in an art critique and silent auction. Well known local artists Chuck and Lucy McVicker will be available all day for commentary on the art works created during the afternoon. 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Cloud Nine (Princeton High School) A Cappella Concert – Cloud Nine (Princeton High School’s non-choir-affiliated, all-female a cappella group) will be holding a free concert at the Arts Council of Princeton Pop-Up Studio at the Princeton Shopping Center, 301 N. Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra “A Concerto Extravaganza !” – This Season Finale concert features the Winners of Bravura’s 2015 Young Artists Concerto Competition.  Flutist Jodie Chiou, age 16, will perform the Chaminade Concertino.  Pianist Iris Kwak, age 15, will play the Grieg Piano Concerto No. 1 in A minor. Violinist Sarah Ma, age 12, will perform the Saint-Saens Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso.  Cellist Dylan Shih-Wu, age 11, will play the Tchaikovsky Rococo Variations.  The Orchestra will perform the Mozart Overture to the Magic Flute.  7:00 pm – 9:15 pm
