Trash ArtStravaganza Art Reception – The Arts Council of Princeton will host an exhibition featuring artwork from Trash ArtStravaganza, a sustainability art contest held annually during Communiversity. Lawrence resident Puttita Sae-Wang, 11, was the grand prize winner. Her newspaper dress will be highlighted. Free. Exhibit runs through June 26. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee – An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime in this comedic musical.  Princeton Festival performance. 8 pm, Princeton University, Matthews Acting Studio, Lewis Center for the Arts, Princeton University, 185 Nassau Street. Tickets $60, includes opening night reception.

Trenton International Film Festival – This year’s festival features 53 films from 16 countries, ranging from narrative features and documentaries to new media such as music videos and experimental works. See films by accomplished directors, local film students and emerging talents from all regions of the US, Canada, Europe, South Asia, Australia and the Middle East. Mercer County Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Disposal Day –  County residents can recycle common residential chemical wastes or used electronics. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the John T. Dempster Fire School at 350 Lawrence Station Road in Lawrence, rain or shine. Open to Mercer County residents only. Attendees must show proof of residency, such as a driver’s license. No commercial or industrial waste will be accepted. Acceptable household items include: aerosol cans, used motor oil, propane gas tanks, pesticides and herbicides, car batteries, paint thinner, oil-based paint, stains and varnishes, gasoline, anti-freeze, driveway sealer, insect repellents, mercury, and fluorescent/CFL bulbs. Acceptable used electronic items include: computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, stereos, televisions and microwaves.

Montgomery Farmers’ Market – Montgomery’s Farmers’ Market, an outreach of the Montgomery Friends of Open Space (Friends), features locally grown, conventional and certified organic produce, meats, eggs and other farm products. 9am until 1pm at the Village Shopper Shopping Center.

Pennington Farmers Market – Produce, breads, meat, soaps, crafts, prepared foods and more. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Rosedale Mills, 101 Route 31 North in Hopewell Township.

West Windsor Farmers’ Market – Produce, meat, flowers baked goods, soap, entertainment and more. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vaughn Drive Parking Lot, Princeton Junction Train Station.

24th Annual Mill Hill Garden Tour – Now entering its 24th consecutive year, residents in the historic neighborhood will swing open their gates and invite people to come in to see the possibilities of summer entertaining in Mill Hill gardens. The self-guided tour begins at Artworks, located at 19 Everett Alley and South Stockton Street. Tickets for the Mill Hill Garden Tour are $10.00 (In Advance) and $15.00 (Day of). 12 pm – 5 pm, Artworks, 19 Everett Alley and South Stockton Street, Trenton , NJ 08611.

Paddle for Pink Dragon Boat Festival at Mercer County Park Lake – Watch dragon boat races while supporting local women and families affected by breast cancer. On land, enjoy live music, dance, entertainment, food, and more. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free.

Art in the Park, Montgomery Friends of Open Space – Artists are invited to the preserved lands for plein air painting. Art sales benefit the organization. Art workshop for the young. Guided hike at 3 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, June 14.  1860 House, Montgomery Avenue, Skillman, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free.

Princeton’s Charlotte Kendrick to Perform at Concert Under the Stars at Updike Farmstead –  The Historical Society of Princeton is pleased to be hosting its fourth annual Concert Under the Stars fundraiser on Saturday, June 13, 2015, from 6:30 to 10 p.m.. This year’s event will feature a 90-minute live performance by local singer and songwriter Charlotte Kendrick. Charlotte, accompanied by her four-piece band, will premiere several songs off her upcoming release, Worth the Wait, and perform classics that are sure to make for a memorable evening. 6:30 p.m. Updike Farmstead, 354 Quaker Road, Princeton, NJ 08540. Opera: Le nozze di Figaro, The Princeton Festival – The Marriage of Figaro has something for everyone: screwball comedy, touching love story, madcap bedroom farce, snarky social satire, heartfelt longing, slapstick humor, and uplifting moral sentiment. 7:30 pm.

Piano Competition Final Round, The Princeton Festival – Young performers compete in six categories for trophies and cash prizes. You won’t want to miss the final round, which always has the audience on the edge of their seats as they compare their choices with the results of the adjudicators. 3 p.m. The Lawrenceville School, 2500 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrence , NJ 08648. Admission $25.

NJ Gay Men’s Chorus in Concert – Celebrating the best of sacred and sassy music for men’s voices, this concert will feature the music of Bach, Brahms and Schubert as well as vocal jazz pieces and arrangements of songs from Broadway legends including Sondheim and Rodgers and Hammerstein. 4 p.m. Princeton United Methodist Church, 7 Vandeventer Avenue, Princeton, NJ 08542.   1. QB Mall’s Lil Chefs Event is June 20, not 13. It is held at Center Court, ground floor at escalators near Macy’s.
