Princeton Community Forum on Fake Bomb Threats Set for Oct. 29

princeton public schoolsThe Princeton Police Department and the Princeton Public Schools will host a community forum this month on the bogus phone threats known as “swatting.”

The forum will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 29 at the John Witherspoon Middle School.

Since the start of the school year, four threats have been called in to Princeton schools. Last spring, schools also received more than half a dozen calls.

Organizers said the forum is intended to provide information to the community and to answer questions regarding the calls.

Princeton Public Schools Superintendent Steve Cochrane and Princeton Police Chief Nick Sutter discuss actions being taken in response to the incidents and they will answer questions from the public.

All community members are encouraged to attend the event. The forum will be held in the school auditorium.
