Area Residents Complain About Transco Gas Pipeline Work in Montgomery

Montgomery, Rocky Hill and Princeton residents complained about loud noises all weekend as work continued on the Transco gas pipeline in Montgomery. Some residents said they were unable to sleep late Saturday and early Sunday.

The work was supposed to stop by 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, but then work continued overnight. According to law enforcement officials, the company said the extra work was necessary for emergency repairs.

  1. That explain the bloody noise that woke me out of my bed in the middle of the night. I walked around around my home looking for banging pipes etc. It took me almost 15 minutes to realize the noise was outside.

    I live near Rocky Hill and if I could hear this through my windows then I imagine that the sound was very disruptive for the residents along Cherry Valley Road and Great Road.

  3. We live on cherry valley road .. It was unbearable and also echoed throughout the valley and no one in our house got any sleep. There was no communication …it started at 7pm and continued until 8am on Sunday. We phoned Montgomery police the next day to find out what was going on and they said the pipeline has permission for 24 hour working from the township
