Elderly Lawrence Couple Hospitalized after Crash in Pennington

Just after 3 p.m. on Dec. 31, a 69-year-old Lawrence resident was traveling north on Flower
Hill Lane near Bull Run Road in Pennington in his 2015 Volvo S80 when he veered off the road and struck a street sign, a fence, and a tree before stopping. The reason for the low-speed crash is unknown, but police said it was possibly medically related.

The Hopewell Township Police Department, the Pennington Fire Company, the Pennington
First Aid Squad, and Hopewell Valley Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene.

Driver Michael Goodman was removed from his Volvo and transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Passenger Barbara Goodman, 73, sustained minor injuries during the crash and was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

The crash is being investigated by Hopewell Township Police Officer Joseph Maccaquano and Detective Mike Sherman.
