McCarter Theatre Center is seeking local actors of all ages to appear in its reimagined version of Dickens’ classic tale “A Christmas Carol” this December.

A casting information session will be held at 10 a.m. this Saturday, Feb. 20, in the community room at the Princeton Public Library. Other sessions have been added. Click the link for dates and other information.

The McCarter Theatre Center will be renewing its annual tradition in December of 2016 with a new production of  “A Christmas Carol”.

The production will include a community ensemble consisting of 50 local actors, who will bring the story to life alongside a company of professional performers.

This diverse and enthusiastic group will fill the streets of London, dance with the Fezziwigs, carol at Scrooge’s doorstep, and bring Christmas cheer to every corner of the theater. McCarter is searching for a wide cross-section of the community, including performers of all ages, genders, races, and levels of ability and experience, to become a part of the ensemble.

McCarter invites people who are interested in being a part of the production to attend the first casting information session. McCarter staff will introduce staff members, talk about the auditions, play theater games, and answer questions.
