Man Hit, Killed by NJ Transit Train

A man was struck and killed by a train in North Brunswick early Tuesday morning.

NJ Transit and Amtrak experienced lengthy delays because of the incident along the Northeast Corridor.

The incident happened at 4:45 a.m. The NJ Transit train 3808 left Trenton at 4:22 a.m. and was headed to New York City when the man was struck.

Further details have not been released about what NJ Transit commonly refers to as a “trespasser fatality.” Most of the time such incidents are suicides. This is the second such incident in less than a month on the Northeast Corridor route.
