Bryn Mawr-Wellesley Book Sale Kicks Off – Preview day at the largest annual book sale in the region. More than 80,000 used books for sale. Proceeds go to college scholarship fund for area women. Volunteer Poetics: Irish and British Poetry in 1916Professor of Modern Literature at University of York Matthew Campbell will lecture on “Volunteer Poetics: Irish and British Poetry in 1916” in recognition of the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising in Ireland. 4:30 pm, James M. Reading by Eduardo Corral and Creative Writing Students from Princeton University – Poet Eduardo Corral will read from his work along with four seniors in Princeton’s Program in Creative Writing. Corral’s debut collection of poetry, Slow Lightning, won the Yale Younger Poets Prize, making him the first Latino recipient of the award. He is also the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the Discovery/The Nation Award, a Whiting Writers’ Award, a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, and was the Philip Roth Resident in Creative Writing at Bucknell University. 6 p.m., Labyrinth Books, 122 Nassau Street, Princeton. Bunny Chase at Terhune Orchards – Celebrate the arrival of spring at Terhune Orchards’ Bunny Chase this Easter weekend. The farm animals are enjoying the pasture and the bulbs are blooming. Follow the treasure hunt clues and find our spring surprise at the end of the hunt. Wonderful for children ages 2 to 8 years. Each child can make a bunny to take home; everyone can enjoy a Terhune Orchards bunny cookie. Wagon rides around the farm and pony rides too. Food tent goodies and wine tasting room. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Terhune Orchards, 330 Cold Soil Road, Princeton. Free.

Egg Collecting and Grading at the Howell Living History Farm –  Visit the hen house and meet newly hatched chicks, collect eggs from nest boxes and learn how to candle and grade eggs. Help farmers grind feed. AARP Free Tax Preparation Assistance – IRS-trained volunteers from the AARP will prepare federal and New Jersey tax returns from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday through April 16 at Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton. The free service is available to all, with an emphasis on low- and moderate-income filers. Returns are filed electronically with paper copies provided. Tax preparation is on a first-come, first-served basis. A Spanish translator will be available. Filers should bring copies of last year’s tax returns, tax documents, and receipts. 61 Nassau St. Enter through the double doors on the parking lot side of the church; turn left at the bottom of the stairs.

The Arts Council of Princeton presents Cafe Improv: A Night of Live Music, Poetry and Comedy – The Arts Council of Princeton and Café Improv present home-grown performances of local and regional music, poetry and comedy at the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts,102 Witherspoon Street, Princeton. On the 4th Saturday of every month for the past 24 years, Café Improv has connected beginning and professional performers.
