‘Fill the Bowls’ Fundraiser to Fight Hunger Set for Sept. 25

Chef Brian Duffy

Celebrity Chef Brian Duffy will visit Princeton on Sept. 25 to support Send Hunger Packing’s efforts to help children who are food insecure in Princeton.

Duffy will host Send Hunger Packing Princeton’s annual fundraiser “Fill the Bowls” from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Hinds Plaza next to the Princeton Public Library.

Local restaurants will fill empty bowls with meals for attendees. The $50 admission fee to the event includes a commemorative bowl made by artist Adam Welch.

Send Hunger Packing, in partnership with Mercer Street Friends, provides backpacks containing food to children in grades K-5 and children at the Princeton Nursery School on Fridays to make sure they have enough to eat over the weekend so they can better focus on learning. Over the last three academic years, the program has provided 65,000 supplemental meals to Princeton children.
