The November Election by the Numbers: A Discussion with Sam Wang and Landon Jones

Princeton University Professor Sam Wang and journalist Landon Jones will discuss polls, statistics, votes, the presidential race, and the balance of power in Congress during a forum at the Princeton Public Library this September.

Wang, a professor of neuroscience and molecular biology, has developed statistical methods for analyzing U.S. presidential election polls with unusually high accuracy. He reports his findings on the Princeton Election Consortium website.

Landon Jones
Landon Jones

Jones, the former managing editor of People and Money magazines, writes for national publications and is the author of three books. His 1980 book “Great Expectations: America and the Baby Boom Generation,” was a finalist for the American Book Award in nonfiction. In 2015, he received the Henry R. Luce Award for Lifetime Achievement from Time Inc.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. on September 15 in the Princeton Public Library Community Room. The program is presented with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
