Both West Windsor-Plainsboro High Schools Make NJ Monthly’s Top 10 List

New Jersey Monthly has released its rankings for public high schools in the state. The magazine reviewed data for 337 public high schools.

The West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional Schools had two schools in the top ten. West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North ranked second, and West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South ranked ninth.

Montgomery High School is ranked No. 12, and Princeton High School is No. 15. Hopewell Valley Central High School is ranked No. 31, and Lawrence High School is No. 87.

The rankings, compiled every two years, are based on data reported by the schools to the New Jersey Department of Education and published in the School Performance Reports section of state’s website.

Chatham High School in Morris County topped the list. More than 97 percent of the school’s 11th and 12th graders took at least one AP test during the 2014-2015 school year, and 91.3 percent of those tests resulted in a score of 3 or higher. On the SATs, 74 percent of students scored 1550 or better.

  1. I noted the magazine changed their methodology and included the percentage of students taking performance or visual arts classes. I’m not surprised that helped boost the rankings for WW-P North and South.
