The Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce will host fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger on Nov. 2 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in West Windsor.

The event runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will feature a VIP reception, networking, a presentation by Hilfiger, who will also sign books.

Hilfiger was raised in Elmira, New York, and was the second of nine children. He opened a clothing store with $150 in 1969 while he was still in high school. In 1985 he launched his namesake fashion label, and the brand quickly expanded to include women’s wear, denim, kids’ wear, accessories, fragrances, and home goods. In the 1990s he was one of the first designers to blend fashion and celebrity, sponsoring tours for rock legends like the Rolling Stones and featuring musicians such as Lenny Kravitz, David Bowie and Beyoncé in his advertising campaigns.

The $45 ticket price for the event included a copy of Hilfiger’s new book, “American Dreamer: My Life in Fashion & Business.” To purchase tickets, visit the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce website.
