Princeton Bus Driver’s Note to Parents Goes Viral

Cindy Clausen, a beloved bus driver for the Princeton Public Schools, wrote a note to two parents about their children’s behavior that has gone viral on social media.

Clausen wrote the note to tell the parents how compassionate and supportive their children are to another student on the bus.

“Dear Jorge and Leonor, I am compelled to write to tell you how beautiful your children are, inside and out! This can only come from the home, your patience and guidance, the examples that you set and teach,” reads the note.

She then describes how the two children, Jorge and Annaliese, are kind to a student named Jackson and sit with him every day on the bus.

“Some days Jackson is a little sad getting on the bus but as soon as he sees Jorge and Annaliese he smiles. Jackson has difficulties walking and it takes a bit for him to get to his seat,” reads the letter.

“Today Annaliese looked out from her seat and said ‘come on Jackson, you can do it’ and when we arrived at school Jorge took it upon himself to carry out his backpack,” reads the note. “I know you know how wonderful your children are, but I wanted you to know that it shows.”

The letter was originally shared with a Facebook page called Love What Matters and has been liked on the page by 45,000 people, shared by more than 3,000 people and posted on other social media pages and websites.

  1. Very touching story!! Kids learn compassion for others through the love they experience from their homes. Kudos to the parents…and to the bus driver for being attentive.

  2. wonderful! so heartening to hear about young people like that – and how great that the bus driver took the time to tell the parents.
